Zion National Park 2013

We were lucky enough to live near Zion National Park for quite a few years so we went there a lot. On this trip, we stayed at a place called Zion ponderosa ranch. It was such a fun place where Aiden and Sadie got to go zip lining,  jump on a high jump trampoline, make candles, and go swimming... It was such a fun place! ❤️ We went on a wagon ride Dutch oven excursion which led to the fateful but hilarious moment where Aiden found a really soft looking cactus and tried to pet it...it didn't go well and I ended up picking like, 300 cactus slivers out of his hand that night 🤦 at the time it wasn't all that funny, but it was something we laughed so hard about and still talked about forever after...he never lived that one down 😉

It got pretty hot while we were there and we ended up hiking a trail called the emerald pools in 100° weather. I think this was the exact moment in trav's life when he decided he didn't like hiking anymore😉 we don't talk about the emerald pools  anymore Lol😆

anyway, there are three pools on the emerald pools trail and we made it clear up to the third one. The second one was hilarious because we stopped and sat in some shade for a while, and there was a really slippery part where every single person that went to walk across it would slip and fall Lol😆 on our way down, we ran out of water as we neared the end of the trail, and Aiden and Sadie were a little bit ahead of us, apparently telling everyone that we were idiots and ran out of water because someone ended up giving them a bottle😆 we mostly just felt bad because we were almost done and totally fine, but had to laugh because I'm sure someone was just worried to pieces and still tells the story of the idiots that took their tiny little kids on a trail in 100° weather and ran out of water...Lol 😉😆

It ended up being one of our funnest and most memorable trips. Aiden and Sadie had so much fun, and our little Lynners was just cute and content riding in her little baby pack🥰
