Redwood National Park 2011

Redwood National Park. One of the coolest places we've ever been ❤️ we got to spend time at the ocean, as well as in the forest...i don't think it gets any better than that! The heart shaped Driftwood with the purple flowers in front of the ocean is still one my favorite pictures we've ever taken, how cool is that!?❤️

We hiked Fern Canyon, which we heard is where they filmed parts of one of the Jurassic Park movies, it did look very prehistoric! Luckily we didn't run into any Velociraptors along the way 😉 Aiden and Sadie did have a plastic snake that they kept putting it in different places and trying to scare us with though, it was so funny😆 you can see it up in the tree in the picture with Aiden pointing up at it if u look hard, it was really camouflaged. The trees were so huge and so crazy, it made you feel so small walking around in there. It felt like you were somewhere that was just very very old. I read a book once about trees having memories, and here it felt like maybe they really did.

Aiden and Sadie loved the beach and we spent lots of time there, it was a little chilly but warm enough to play in the sand and build sand castles, which was probably their favorite part. Funny, they never really grew out of that...they always loved beach trips and even if it totally wasn't warm enough, they insisted we go there anyway😉 I'm sure this was the trip that set the precedent😉😆
