What a Menace

This seems like such a normal, everyday picture, and like it wouldn't necessarily have any grand memory attached...but it's one of my favorites 🥲❤️ it's just a cute picture of him with a really good smile...but in that smile there's a little bit of mischief😉 Aiden was such a character. He was a teaser, and he loved to laugh and make everyone else laugh too. He was a little bit naughty, and especially loved to torment his mother with things that he knew I would get after him about😉❤️

In this particular picture, someone gave us a 2 liter of Mountain Dew and he was like, this is mine. I didn't really like him drinking a bunch of caffeine, and although I knew that when I wasn't with him he would buy rock stars and monsters and stuff because I saw the evidence on the floor of his car, I still got after him every time and was always like, stop drinking energy drinks, they're bad for you!!!! 😉

so this day he was like, I'm taking this and I'm drinking this whole 2 liter all by myself. And I was like no you flipping are not, give it to me.... and he started mouthing swear words at me!!!....his other favorite thing to do 😉 he'd be like, hey mom...and he'd mouth da** it at me, and I'd be like, AIDEN!!!! DON'T YOU DARE!!!! and he'd laugh as I would try and fail to hold back a smile while telling him to knock it off, and then he'd mouth sh** or he** and then I'd lose it and start laughing and be like, AIDEN!... undermining all parental authority every single time...It was just naughty, but so funny and I could never not laugh😆😉 

And now it's one of my favorite memories, and one of my favorite things about him❤️ He was just so funny. So full of it all the time and always ready to torment someone, which also drove me half crazy sometimes but.... what I wouldn't give for one more day of him just absolutely tormenting everyone to pieces🥲❤️

 These were from Astoria and the Peter Iredale shipwreck on the Oregon coast. We went and saw the Goonies House, Astoria Column, and the cool ships in the harbor. The kids really liked the shipwreck and it was really fun to go visit, they loved playing in the sand and on the beach, and Aiden was such a good sport and let everyone bury him. Sleep Shenanigans

 Aiden and his sleeping shenanigans was the funniest thing ever. He was always sleep walking, sleep talking, and when he got tired, it didn't matter where he was, he would just tip over. I can't even count how many times he fell asleep at the dinner table 😆 He rarely made it through movies. One time at a hotel he almost sleep walked out the door in the middle of the night, luckily it had one of those locks at the top so every time he pulled the door it slammed into that and woke me up! Another time he came walking out to the living room and we had a set of stairs between it and his room. He sat down on the stairs and I was like, "hey buddy, whatcha doin?" he looked at me and said, "what does it look like I'm doing?" and laid down on a stair and went back to sleep. Don't Go Out and Break Your Stupid Arm

Oh Mr. Aiden... This whole incident was just CRAZY 🤦 One day Aiden wanted to go and climb the tree in our yard. I was cooking dinner and didn't want him to, and as he was walking out the door I said, "you better be careful! Don't go out there and break your stupid arm!" 5 minutes later, he came back in all pale, nauseous, and covered in dirt and was like, "mom, I think I broke my arm" and I was like YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! I told you NOT to go out and do that!!!  I took one look at it and was like, yep...arms are definitely not supposed to look like that...that's broken. And indeed it was...displaced and everything, and of course ended up needing surgery🤦 So surgery day came, and I told him multiple times.... Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. We had to be there really early in the morning so as I'm getting ready I hear some rustling out in the kitchen and yelled, what are you doing!? You better not be eating! Silence. So I go running...
