Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta. Aiden was about 5 and Sadie was 2. We tent camped and they were the best little campers ❤️ we went on a hike to Victoria Lake and St. Mary Falls (I think!) We forgot their jackets so we bought them both sweatshirts at the visitor center. The waterfall in the last couple pictures is Cameron Falls in Waterton Park. We went for about a week at the end of August. It rained on a couple nights, and really hard the day we were trying to pack up, and we totally drove home in a blizzard on the way out, it was so crazy! We saw mountain sheep and multiple bears, one of them running across a golf course, and we were like... Yikes! Good thing we don't golf! Lol😆
One of my favorite memories was on a day when we wanted to run over to the showers. There was a big line, and we realized as we were waiting that we totally forgot towels and didn't even have any back at our campsite so we dug around in our car and found some blue shop towels. We were like, well crap....that's not ideal but I guess it'll work! 😆 Trav took Aiden through and I took Sadie, and oh my gosh, u should have seen the looks we got when we got out...! 😆 The kids weren't fans because the water wasn't that warm anyway, plus add in shop towels and not even a real towel to dry off with and it really wasn't ideal circumstances😆  Sadie was screeching about it, and people gave me the worst looks on the way out😆 it was such a treat to have a captive audience there for our showers that day Lol, and I'm sure we were judged harshly, but we were laughing so hard...like, blue shop towels!? Really!? I was pretty proud of us for making it work though honestly 😉

It was such a fun trip with our sweet kiddos. They were such awesome little campers and awesome little hikers! ❤️ We had so much fun. Glacier and Waterton are still two of our favorite places ever, and our memories of taking Aiden and Sadie when they were tiny are still some of my favorites❤️❤️❤️

 These were from Astoria and the Peter Iredale shipwreck on the Oregon coast. We went and saw the Goonies House, Astoria Column, and the cool ships in the harbor. The kids really liked the shipwreck and it was really fun to go visit, they loved playing in the sand and on the beach, and Aiden was such a good sport and let everyone bury him. He was always the ringleader when it came to finding all the fun things to do🥲❤️

Sleep Shenanigans

 Aiden and his sleeping shenanigans was the funniest thing ever. He was always sleep walking, sleep talking, and when he got tired, it didn't matter where he was, he would just tip over. I can't even count how many times he fell asleep at the dinner table 😆 He rarely made it through movies. One time at a hotel he almost sleep walked out the door in the middle of the night, luckily it had one of those locks at the top so every time he pulled the door it slammed into that and woke me up! Another time he came walking out to the living room and we had a set of stairs between it and his room. He sat down on the stairs and I was like, "hey buddy, whatcha doin?" he looked at me and said, "what does it look like I'm doing?" and laid down on a stair and went back to sleep. Don't Go Out and Break Your Stupid Arm

Oh Mr. Aiden... This whole incident was just CRAZY 🤦 One day Aiden wanted to go and climb the tree in our yard. I was cooking dinner and didn't want him to, and as he was walking out the door I said, "you better be careful! Don't go out there and break your stupid arm!" 5 minutes later, he came back in all pale, nauseous, and covered in dirt and was like, "mom, I think I broke my arm" and I was like YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! I told you NOT to go out and do that!!!  I took one look at it and was like, yep...arms are definitely not supposed to look like that...that's broken. And indeed it was...displaced and everything, and of course ended up needing surgery🤦 So surgery day came, and I told him multiple times.... Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. We had to be there really early in the morning so as I'm getting ready I hear some rustling out in the kitchen and yelled, what are you doing!? You better not be eating! Silence. So I go running...
