Welding
Aiden took a couple welding classes in school and really liked them. He was even getting pretty good at it! Sometimes I wondered if he'd ever want to do something like that after high school. I think it could have been a definite possibility.
This first picture is his "wolf" that he welded. It still sits in his bedroom window. The second one is a pencil holder. I still remember when he showed it to me, I thought it was awesome and so cool that he had been able to do that! And the third picture is one of my favorite Aiden stories...
He loved to weld random and assorted things together, especially in Grandma Ruby and Grandpa Dennis's shop. They have the best shop, there's old metal, random and assorted bits and pieces of anything you could ever imagine, and everything he needed to be able to weld up something really good.
One day he came into Gr Ruby's house and was like, hey grandma come here, I made you something. And he gave her picture #3❤️ it was a hay bale grabber that she could keep on her 4 wheeler and use to move hay around, it even had serrated edges on the triangle piece to cut the bailing twine in case she lost her knife or forgot it. It was so inventive and smart ❤️ we always said that he could totally be an entrepreneur someday, he was just so smart and was really good at thinking out of the box. He didn't want anyone to know, but he was such a brilliant kid😉❤️
It was adorable and thoughtful, and Gr Ruby loved it ❤️ she said it actually worked great and she totally used it❤️ I know it's one of her favorite Aiden memories too❤️
and then the last picture is his welding mask
