The Perm

Image
When Aiden was a sophomore, he wanted to grow his hair out and perm it. It was hilarious and I never knew what it was going to look like from one day to the next...kind of chill and just curly, or absolute utter insanity. I feel like it usually leaned in the absolute utter insanity direction most of the time😆 some days he got tired of it being so crazy so he'd want me to put "cornrows" in it. Putting cornrows in crazy curly boy hair wasn't exactly a talent I possessed, but I did get to the point where I could get 3 sets of the tiniest braids I could manage in there. So I would get up really early in the morning with him, and I'd sit on the couch while he sat on the floor, and I'd put braids in his hair before school. I wish I had pictures of it and it's so silly, but I loved sitting with him and just chatting while i put braids in his hair at the absolute freaking buttcrack of dawn...i really didn't even mind and was just happy to spend...

Alaska Boat Cruise 2021

Image
This was one of our favorite memories of Alaska ❤️ The boat ride that Sadie was legit scared we were all going to die on, Lynlee was barfing in a barf bag, I wasn't doing much better and neither was at least 90% of everyone else on the boat, literally at least half the boat was barfing. The crew was bringing around ginger candy to help everyone not be so sick and assuring the ones crying that they weren't going to die (not us 😆), people were falling down all over in the aisles... It got really rough for a little bit 😉😆 Trav, Aiden, and Colton loved every second of it though😆 Sadie too once she realized we weren't going to die Lol, and Lynlee and I did better after some dramamine😆 Before we left the bay though, one of my lifetime dreams came true when we saw killer whales❤️ there was one time in the beginning when the captain had to stop the boat and announce to everyone that they could thank the young man in the blue coat for jumping every time we hit a w...

The Stanley

Image
A few years ago, we went and stayed at the Stanley Hotel in Colorado. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park and explored the little town of Estes. In RMNP, we were driving along and saw a coyote, and all of a sudden it was like he totally lost his marbles and got really confused and ran into the road and we had to stop and wait while he poo'd right in the middle of it. We were all laughing so hard 😆 crazy coyote! We saw tons of critters there, moose, wild turkeys, elk all over by our hotel and in Estes. We explored the hotel and took Aiden and Sadie to the haunted Aiden Sinclair show, and Trav scared the crap out of Aiden in the bathroom (our Aiden Lol, the other Aiden scared the crap out of us!😆 I'm not sure how he did what he did but, his show was so cool and creepy!)  We hiked up to a frozen lake and on the way Colton tried to detach his retina with a stick, which to this day I'll never forget the Dr. acting like I was crazy when we got him in because there wasn...

The Time Aiden Rode Lynlee's Bike

Image
We went for a drive in the mountains one day and found this really steep hill. We happened to have a bike of Lynlee's, complete with training wheels, in the back of the pick up. Aiden decided he was going to ride it down the hill. I really didn't want him to because I was legitimately worried he might break some bones (it was way steeper than it looks in these!😆) well, he rode it...multiple times and he was seriously hauling. He'd end up getting lost in a giant pile of dust every time, and when he was done, its training wheels were bent upside down and backwards... It was so messed up😆 we laughed so hard....and owed Lynlee a new bike after that day 😉😆

Gang Signs

Image
The time we went to the st george temple visitor center and I was trying to get a picture of him and Sadie in front of the Christmas tree and had to be like, "Listen, I need you to stop making gang signs every time I try to take a picture, u can't be doing that in here!!! And actually, u can't just be doing that everywhere all the time!" but he did. He did it everywhere all the time  😳🤦🤣 If he's not flashing gang signs, then he's got his hat on backwards....seriously child, can you just work with me here!? Lol😉 There we go! Finally a good one 😆

Streaker Shirt

Image
This was one of Aiden's favorite shirts 🤣 it was one of my favorites too. I'm pretty sure I found it new with tags at a DI a long time ago and thought it was hilarious so I drug it home for him. I think it might have even been so long ago that it didn't fit him for a little bit, or he didn't want to wear it at first, I don't remember.  We laughed so hard about that shirt though, I thought they might send him home from school or something 🤣 they never did though 🤣 there's way worse out there than bleeped out streakers I guess🤷😆

Aiden's Gold Track Pants

Image
First of all, I love this first pic of Aiden, it cracks me up 😉❤️But this post is about those pants... His epic gold track pants. I don't think any boy has ever rocked gold track pants quite like Aiden😆 I think we found them at like, shopko when he was in 7th grade and he wore them clear til he was a senior😉😆 they made me laugh so hard😆 he wore them all the time and everywhere, even to school, he didn't care... He just really loved his gold track pants

Ice Worms

Image
The time we went to Alaska in 2021 and since we were missing our own fair, we went to theirs instead😉🙌 We wandered around for the day, and then as we were leaving, Aiden said, "hang on I'll be right back" and he took off running and came back with these fuzzy "ice worms" for each of you. They were handmade in Alaska and if you pet their back it makes them look like they are moving. I thought they were adorable from the very beginning, but especially because he ran back and bought them himself for everyone. You guys have loved them ever since and every time I see one kicking around, I always think of Aiden and what a kindness it was of him to think of his siblings and do that for you❤️

Lagoon

Image

Lol, just so many awesome memories that i'm so grateful they will all have forever.  we sure love these kids and will be forever grateful to devin for taking on their lagoon trip
